Mission
The Frederick Airport Association is a social non-profit organization dedicated to serving the pilots, aircraft owners and users of the Frederick Municipal Airport.
The Frederick Airport Association has made significant progress over the past few years. We have been involved with the new hangar construction, the development of the aircraft wash rack, the Unicom frequency change and related equipment upgrade and are currently pushing for completion of the pilot planning room at the end of hangar row Golf.
We are entering a period where the potential is very high for significant changes at Frederick Municipal Airport as well as other GA non-air carrier airports. Security is a very hot issue since 09/11 and talk is already being heard about fences, security gates, identification badges, restricted access, fuel dump relocations, etc.
As changes are being considered at Frederick Municipal Airport it is essential that the voice of the user pilots be a part of the planning process. Now more than ever we must inform and enlighten those who manage the airport on the pilot's needs and requirements now and for the future.
The Frederick Airport Association will be the voice of the resident pilots, but the voice needs to be strong. Each additional member strengthens that voice and each resident aircraft owner and renter pilot represents revenue, which provides the power behind the voice.
You are
